As if we didn’t have enough to deal with, the United States has to confront the growing problem of the little tyrant Kim Jong-un.
America is having a hard time right now. While some might still be on a high over Donald Trump’s presidency, there are plenty of libs who are eating and drinking their sorrows away. Aside from that, we have a historic hurricane to recover from (and another one on the way). Not to mention ongoing problems with terrorism and political battles over the economy, immigration, and taxes.
On top of that, we have to deal with this idiot halfway around the world, promising our destruction!
Sometimes, it’s just too much to deal with.
Earlier in the Summer, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un threatened the United States and our allies. You might wonder why North Korea’s got such a hard-on for killing us. You could go back to the Korean War from the 1950’s, but Lil’ Kim wasn’t around for that. It’s most likely because we are a strong supporter of South Korea and Japan—two nations North Korea salivates over like a starving dog.
But now North Korea’s at it again. This time they are making even greater, far more serious, threats to the United States.
North Korea has, for the first time, threatened to wage an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack against the United States. Such an attack has the potential to cause catastrophic damage to North America, Canada, the West, and many of its neighbors…
According to the Associated Press, shortly after North Korea launched its sixth nuclear test using an H-bomb, the “Hermit Kingdom’s” leader Kim Jong-un issued a statement through its state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) claiming the weapon “is a multi-functional thermonuclear nuke with great destructive power which can be detonated even at high altitudes for super-powerful EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack according to strategic goals.” (Breitbart)
Now, I don’t have to tell you the kind of damage an EMP can do. It can basically wipe out all electronic devices. Permanently. That would spell doom for any nation. So, for North Korea to be able to do that is exceptionally bad.
Add to that the fact that they are moving their missiles closer to the coast—in hopes of striking Japan or even the U.S.— and you have a real situation to handle.
Before we all start hyperventilating, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, we have to wonder what North Korea is trying to accomplish, by announcing that they can us an EMP against the U.S.
Why would you tell your enemy your plan? Remember when the media kept giving Trump crap over not explaining his ideas for handling ISIS? His response was simple: I’m not going to let them know what I have planned. That’s common sense when dealing with matters of war. You don’t just tell the enemy what you are going to do. That gives them time to prepare against whatever you have planned.
Considering we have systems in place to shoot down missiles, plus a sophisticated Air Force that can catch rogue planes that are trying to explode bombs over the Continental United States, I don’t think North Korea really intends to EMP us into the stone age.
Most likely they are trying to push back on the recent U.N. sanctions placed on them. The entire security council, including China, voted against this war-hungry country. That’s not good. North Korea is in a tight spot and they can’t lose face. Promising to EMP the biggest kid in the park is most likely an attempt to show the world they are not backing down.
To be honest, though, North Korea is dangerous enough to take seriously. Their leaders are of a mind that, even if they lose, they will take the world down with them. That’s no empty boast, that’s a real threat.
So what do we do?
Well, America has a few options.
President Donald Trump spoke on the phone with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday, revealing to reporters that China claims to want to help reduce North Korea’s increasingly hostile actions… Later on Air Force One, Trump told reporters that the Chinese president was “very much in favor of the de-nuke of North Korea.,,”
“I believe that President Xi agrees with me 100 percent. He doesn’t want to see what’s happening there, either,” Trump said. (Breitbart)
China’s been a sort of Ace in North Korea’s hand. Being both Red nations, they kind of sort of have each other’s back. Even with trade sanctions in place, goods seem to slip across the border. But even China cannot ignore North Korea’s increasing threat. And even if they are ideological brothers, China’s thriving business with capitalistic nations is motivation enough to side with the U.S. and every other country that will suffer from a North Korean-incited war.
China’s leadership can put pressure on North Korea like few others. With their help, we might be able to wrestle those nukes from North Korea’s hands. Even worse for the DPRK, should war break out, China’s immense Army will come knocking on their door. Very bad.
Also, they have to consider swift actions from U.S. forces. Try to bomb us all you want, we have a few Aces up our sleeve:
The elite Navy SEAL Team 6 group responsible for taking out al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden now has a special mission that should give nuclear-crazed North Korean madman Kim Jong Un pause…
The SEALs were given with the mission of training the South Korean commandos, which are additionally tasked with taking out “command and control” systems, according to the report. (IJR)
That’s right. The legendary squad that took out bin Laden is working on plans for North Korea. Specifically, they are training South Korea special ops as an “assassination squad” for the purpose of taking out Lil’ Kim.
That should be enough to get North Korea to back down. I know I wouldn’t want SEAL Team 6 on my ass. Even if I had an army watching over me.
Those are just the plans that have reached the blogosphere. It’s clear that Trump and the Pentagon have a variety of options they aren’t leaking to the media. Plans that should keep Kim Jong-un up at night.
But it remains to be seen what happens next. As the United States, and much of the world, bears down on North Korea, they can do one of two things: Wise up and relent, or lash out like a cornered dog.
I know what I’m hoping will happen. What about you?
