Former President Donald Trump hosted a prominent QAnon and Pizzagate conspiracy theorist at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Tuesday, ABC News reports.
Trump posed for photos with conspiracy theorist Liz Crokin, who has promoted both conspiracy theories online.
One photo shows both of them making a thumbs up sign.
The event was billed as a fundraiser to support a “documentary” on sex trafficking, which has fueled many QAnon conspiracy theories.
The website for the film falsely claims of mass sex trafficking in Hollywood and brags that the film is banned by YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and PayPal.”
Trump praised group:
"You are incredible people, you are doing unbelievable work, and we just appreciate you being here and we hope you're going to be back," Trump told the crowd in attendance.
"Tonight I had the privilege and honor to speak at America's Future fundraiser to combat child trafficking at Mar-A-Lago," Crokin wrote in a social media post, adding that she discussed Pizzagate at the event.
Crokin was featured in the HBO docuseries “Q: Into the Storm,” where Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene credited her with introducing her to the QAnon conspiracy theory.
More attendees:
Former Republican congressional candidate Darlene Swaffar told ABC News that she was at the event.
Other prominent attendees included former Trump national security advisor Michael Flynn, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, and retired Army Captain Seth Keshel – a prominent election denier.
"For attendees there was a reception portion, and for those that contributed a little bit more there was the dinner portion," Swaffar told ABC News, adding that she did not see “any communication” about the QAnon conspiracy theories.
