Marjorie Taylor Greene Vows to Introduce Articles of Impeachment Against Joe Biden on First Day

Freshman Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said she will introduce articles of impeachment against President-elect Joe Biden as soon as he takes office, The Hill reports.

Greene, who has espoused QAnon conspiracy theories, told Newsmax that she will introduce a measure to impeach the new president on January 21.

“I would like to announce on behalf of the American people, we have to make sure our leaders are held accountable, we cannot have a president of the United States who is willing to abuse the power of the office of the presidency and be easily bought off by foreign governments, foreign Chinese energy companies, Ukrainian energy companies, so on Jan. 21, I will be filing articles of impeachment on Joe Biden,” she said, despite no evidence that Biden has ever received any foreign payments.

Greene blames Capitol violence on Biden:

Greene told the pro-Trump news outlet that she intends to file for impeachment to show “there are Republicans in Congress that are willing to stand up and fight for” Trump’s supporters.

“I’m a big believer of having people in office who are actually willing to do the job, and I can’t imagine people in this country being so fearful of a future of a Biden presidency that they may be willing to commit violence like they did in the Capitol here in Washington, D.C. We cannot have that, I do not condone that violence,” she said.

Greene wears “Censored” mask during House speech:

Greene, who has repeatedly refused to wear a mask on the House floor, wore a mask to Wednesday’s impeachment proceedings that said “Censored.”

She wore the mask as she delivered a speech on the floor of the House that was broadcast by numerous news outlets.
