As a child, I was raised to believe that what really mattered was how a person behaved. This was reinforced by the morality lessons taught to me by my parents and church, but it was also the popular idea in school. Equality meant that your skin color or national origin was at the very best, second to who you chose to be.
Way back then, in the 80's, we foolishly thought that a person's actions and words were more important than the amount of pigment in their skin, or what country they were originally from. Especially in a land like the United States, the real measure of a man (or woman) was how they conducted themselves. That despite your race, as long as you treated everyone with dignity and respect, you were on the right track.
Sure, you may disagree with your neighbor over politics, religion, or culture, but the true goal of our society was harmony. As long as you looked past your differences and treated others as you wished to be treated, our country had a bright future.
Oh, how things have changed.
I can write at length about the rampant hypocrisy of the modern left, and have quite a bit, where they seem only to love people, so long as they march to their tune. But if you disagree even in the slightest, they won't afford you even the most basic amount of dignity or consideration. To them, you are scum. Perhaps worse than scum.
You might scoff at that notion, but you're apparently not paying attention. Just take the words of Chadwick Moore, a former Democrat (who voted for Hillary), who made the mistake of not attacking conservative personality Milo Yiannopoulos in an article for Out magazine.
After the story posted online in the early hours of Sept. 21, I woke up to more than 100 Twitter notifications on my iPhone. Trolls were calling me a Nazi, death threats rolled in and a joke photo that I posed for in a burka served as “proof” that I am an Islamophobe...
Most disconcertingly, it wasn’t just strangers voicing radical discontent. Personal friends of mine — men in their 60s who had been my longtime mentors — were coming at me. They wrote on Facebook that the story was “irresponsible” and “dangerous...”
I realized that, for the first time in my adult life, I was outside of the liberal bubble and looking in. What I saw was ugly, lock step, incurious and mean-spirited. (via NY Post)
Mind you, Moore's only crime was writing a neutral article about Milo. It wasn't pro-Milo. But that is enough to get the left to attack Moore, who at that time was a Hillary-supporting democrat.
I can talk about how feminist groups attack conservative women, like Sarah Palin or Melania Trump. Groups that claim to be fighting for women's rights in America demonize and slander women they should be championing. Sarah Palin is a mother, former governor of Alaska, and first female Vice-Presidential candidate. Yet the mainstream media tried to paint her as a buffoon.
Melania Trump is a picture of the American dream. She emigrated, became a citizen, started her own business, and is now First Lady. She also speaks six languages. Yet the liberal media, including ugly and untalented comedians, have frequently attacked her intelligence.
Apparently, the feminist left loves to portray women they don't like as stupid.
But this hypocrisy all culminates in the area of race. Long ago, white Americans sought to denigrate black people. In the South, they justified slavery by perpetuating the idiotic notion that black people were inferior. Even after abolition, this notion still lingered in many parts of our society, allowing for communities to segregate black and white people and to justify continued persecution of black Americans.
All that was eradicated thanks to many tireless advocates, fighting for the truth that we are all created equal. Black Americans deserve the same rights as every other American. For decades, generations, we worked to teach our children that what mattered most was the content of a person's character, not the color of their skin or their ethnicity.
You can be proud of your heritage all you want, of course, but what distinguishes a person is not their race, but how they choose to live their life.
But today, the regressive left has abandoned all that, in the interest of denigrating white Americans. We don't have to look far for proof.
A new extension has appeared on the chrome plugins web-store named “Racism Simulator,” that substitutes “White” for “Black” whenever you visit websites that are known for writing racist anti-white articles. The purpose of the extension, according to its creator, is to “Convert ‘white’ to ‘black’ for hilarious results.” (via AOS)
The results are far from hilarious. They reveal the shocking trend among liberal publications to single out white people for our apparent stupidity and inferiority. Just flipping the term "white people" to "black people" and you'll get shocking results.
Just ask yourself this: is it okay for an article to say "25 Things Black People Ruined"? Of course not, everyone would say that is racist. Yet Buzzfeed, Salon, the Huffington Post, and others regularly produce content like this, attacking white people. But why? Is having white skin inherently a bad thing?
Most people with half a brain will say no. So they have to invent concepts like "white privilege" in order to suggest that being born white in America automatically makes you a bad person. They want you to think that living in a society with majority white people somehow puts you on a pedestal above everyone else. Because of this situation, you (a white person) are blind to how much better you have it and therefore look down on and denigrate everyone else.
Forgetting all the other factors that contribute to a person's upbringing, like income, schooling, region, religion, the number of parents in the home, and of course personal responsibility. Nope. You're white, so you're the bad guy.
If you said this about any other race, you would be driven out of polite society. It’s the very kind of hate and racism that has festered like a cancer in societies around the world. The kind of racism used to denigrate minorities of all kinds and to justify persecution and oppression. Among the regressive left, it is acceptable.
Just look at this list and try to tell me it is based on logic, reason, or basic human compassion.

Can anyone with common sense- white, black or otherwise- really swallow this kind of hate? I mean, how can any white person hope to prove themselves to be a decent, unhateful person when they write: "Recognize that you're still racist. No matter what." So Marchae Grair is basically saying that regardless of what a white person says, learns, or does, they will always be racist.
I can't even find words to describe that kind of narrow-minded thinking. It is beyond hate.
The end result of this kind of thinking is obvious. They wish to denigrate white people through guilt, so that their political agenda is advanced. But what political agenda? Can't it only be the oppression of an entire race of people, simply because of their skin color?
What other logical conclusion can we make? The regressive left- namely racial activists- are no longer fighting for equality and harmony among all Americans. They are now seeking to vilify and destroy people based on the color of their skin. They don't even want us helping them fight for civil rights.
It's a modern form of segregation. A modern form of hate. And it's why any sensible person cannot support their cause.
