Immigration Reform Is Long Overdue

Much like every other issue, immigration has been exploited by corrupt politicians to give themselves an advantage.

You may think that politicians who support open immigration and amnesty are generous, compassionate souls, who just want foreign people to have a chance in “the land of opportunity.” Sorry, nope. These politicians are manipulating your emotions, hoping you’ll get teary-eyed thinking of all those unwashed masses coming over on boats, yearning to be free.

That’s an outdated story from a bygone era. Today, liberal politicians want to use the current, flawed immigration system to import large numbers of low-skilled, uneducated, easily-manipulated bodies into the country. Why? So they’ll have a voter base they can pander to for votes and support.

Once upon a time, politicians had to appeal to the American people for support. Democrats were very good at winning votes from blue collar workers. This was because they actually cared about blue collar workers, the working classes, and the many middle-class Americans who needed a voice in government.

Democrats won these voters because they promised reforms and policies that helped American workers provide unions, better pay, and protections from corrupt business owners.

But if you think that’s still the Democrats’ platform, then you probably watch TV news with rabbit ears.

And you probably wonder why you don’t see Cronkite anymore.

Democrats have found a much easier way to win votes. And that’s by importing large numbers of foreigners. These immigrants are allowed in—legally or illegally. They are desperate for work, so they take low-paying jobs, often at lower-than-livable wages. But that’s okay, they are green-lit for government entitlement programs, like food stamps, Welfare, and cheap housing, which offsets the cost of their crappy jobs.

Because all of those programs are provided by liberals, they can win the support of these masses. Even if many of them cannot even legally vote.

Democrats can even win the support of businesses; large corporations throw cash at these candidates, because they benefit from cheap labor.

Liberals have found a cheap and easy way to win elections. All by ignoring actual Americans.

So what if it robs American workers, some of which are just entering the work force, of good-paying jobs? So what if it helps make the rich richer and poor poorer? So what if a growing population in our country refuses to embrace our culture, language, values, or way of life?

Do you really think huge numbers of uneducated people from South America, Africa, and the Middle East share the progressive views you cherish so much? Many of these countries still treat women as second-class citizens and throw gay people off roofs.

Yet liberals have no problem importing them by the millions, just to win votes.

President Trump, along with two GOP lawmakers, has introduced a massive reform to our immigration system. Immediately it was met by criticism from liberal journalists, who hadn’t even had enough time to go over the legislation.

Stephen Miller, Senior White House Advisor, famously roasted CNN’s Jim Acosta, over his bogus criticisms, before the White House Press Corps. He humiliated the liberal, gotcha journalist, over his shockingly ignorant remarks directed at the proposed reforms. Let’s watch.

It’s fun to watch Miller embarrass this fake news advocate, but let’s think about what Acosta was trying to do. The bill was just announced; so it would take some time, maybe a day or two, before people could properly weigh in on the issue. But almost immediately this CNN pundit wanted to virtue signal by claiming the law was discriminatory.

Now, I don’t know about you, but isn’t the job of the media to report the news? Yet at the press pool, Acosta is clearly positioning himself as a liberal advocate, fighting this law before it even reaches Congress.

Is that his job?

In this day and age yes. Because the mainstream media is no longer honestly reporting the facts, but advocating for the Democrats.

Acosta’s bogus attack proves how deranged and dishonest the liberal agenda is regarding immigration. He was quick to call Trump’s needed reforms racist or discriminatory, based on the idea that only people from Great Britain and Australia speak English.

You see, he wanted you the naïve and ignorant CNN viewer to believe this law only welcomes white people into America. Because Acosta, knowing better, wants you to think only those countries have English-speaking citizens.

While not the native language of every nation, English is a popular language in many parts of the world. And considering it’s the majority language of the United States, shouldn’t it stand to reason that people coming here should speak it?

When my great-grandfather came to the U.S. over a hundred years ago, he made it a priority to learn English. He spent time with Irish immigrants to pick up the language, even though it alienated him from some of his Italian friends. Although it wasn’t a requirement at the time, he was wise enough to know that he should learn the language of the native people.

But CNN’s Jim Acosta is stupid enough to expect that immigrants today shouldn’t have to learn the language of the nation to which they’re traveling.

This is part of the left’s plan to undermine the will of the American people by importing large numbers of people they can control and manipulate.

Progressives want to hate the reform. It would end their plan to seize national power via the mass immigration of unskilled, government-dependent migrants. That plan has already won them near-complete power in California and Illinois. But without those future migrants, progressives would be forced to seek the votes from actual blue-collar and white-collar Americans, so shifting the focus of national politics back towards a focus on middle-class Americans, and away from the progressives’ media-magnified push for pro-transgender laws, free abortion and weather control. (Breitbart)

Let me make this as clear as possible: liberals don’t care about immigrants! Just like heterosexual politicians don’t really care about gay rights. They are just using the issue to push their plans to win more votes.

If you eliminate this scheme to steal elections with immigrant voters, liberals would have to appeal to actual Americans. That means they have to listen to their concerns. Which focus more on national security, the economy, and better conditions for themselves. Not transgenderism and global warming.

But liberals—and many established conservatives—don’t care about your needs or concerns. They are looking for the quickest way to gain more power and cash. Expanding the government to near-Socialist levels is impossible, if the people voting are hard-working Americans who grew up in this country, believe in free speech and the free market, and hate the government telling them what to do.

But a population of government-dependent migrants? They might not understand or appreciate these issues the same way. They are easier to lie too—especially if they don’t speak the language.

Trump’s immigration reform does not preclude new people coming into this country. It doesn’t prevent any race, creed, sexual orientation, or religion. Everyone is welcome, so long as they meet the requirements. Those requirements will ensure that skilled workers come into America, workers that will benefit our economy and help bolster our industries. Rather than importing millions of people with zero skills, who take crappy jobs, supplemented by bad government entitlement programs.

Here are some of the things that the reform will do:

Encourage people of value to come to America. The RAISE Act would replace the current permanent employment-visa system with a skills-based points system.. The system would prioritize those immigrants who are best positioned to succeed in the United States and expand the economy. Applicants earn points based on education, English-language ability, high-paying job offers, age, record of extraordinary achievement, and entrepreneurial initiative. (Breitbart)

Mind you, that doesn’t mean non-English speakers are excluded. They are still welcome if they meet the other requirements.

Liberals are already saying this is discriminatory. That it will prevent people from certain countries coming to America. But by saying that, they are insulting the millions of skilled, intelligent, English-speaking people from around the world.

Do they really think the only skilled workers live in England? Some of the best minds are in the Arab world, Asia, and South America. Don’t we want those people coming to the U.S. to improve our society?

But while liberals continue to call Trump racist, they ignore the fact that Americans have been clamoring for this change for a long time.

Immigration reform advocates are showing 10 Senators up for election in 2018 that their voters strongly support President Donald Trump’s wage-boosting merit-based reform plan…

In Michigan, for example, where Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow is up for election, the poll shows that 61 percent of people “strongly” support “setting up rules to ensure that businesses give first preference for jobs to American workers and legal immigrants already in this country before businesses can ask for new immigrant workers.” Only 10 percent “somewhat” or “strongly” oppose that rule. (Breitbart)

The men who proposed the bill, David Purdue of Georgia and Tom Cotton from Arkansas, won their seats in 2014 because of disgruntlement over the “Gang of Eight” immigration plan. You can say the current GOP majority in government is largely due to Americans who want leaders that prioritize their needs over the needs of immigration.

It’s almost ironic. Trump’s plan is meant to protect American workers, who are all too often exploited or neglected by big businesses. In another time, it would have been a plan excepted by liberal lawmakers. The old stereotype that conservatives support big business and liberals support workers has long been outdated.

Business and investors rationally hate the merit-based plan. It would reduce the inflow of cheap labor and of welfare-funded consumers which have helped boost profits and the stock market. Without those migrants, companies will have to raise wages for employees, recruit and train now-sidelined Americans, and invest in American-made, labor-saving machinery, such as robots for farms, restaurants, and slaughterhouses. (Breitbart)

There was a reason Wall Street executives and Silicon Valley companies wanted Hillary Clinton in office. They saw Trump as someone who would hurt their monopoly in the U.S. economy. His reforms would help the millions of working class and middle-class Americans who are hurting. The uber rich of our society don’t give two craps about us. Anything that helps them improve their bottom line they’ll support, which means driving wages down with cheap labor.

Highly-skilled, often college educated, Americans demand proper compensation for their training and ability. Companies that want to save money won’t hire them, if they can get cheap labor in the form of immigrant workers. Fixing this problem sounds a lot like a Democratic platform. Why did they abandon their voter base?

You’re going to hear from liberals that Trump’s immigration reform is racist. That’s evidence that the left has lost all credibility. This reform welcomes people of all races to come and compete fairly in the U.S. jobs market. It will eliminate an unfair and discriminatory system that gives unskilled outsiders an advantage over American citizens. It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with giving the American people their power back.

And that’s something corrupt, insider liberals simply cannot stand.
