"Hell Will Freeze." Enough Is Enough

Ever since Donald Trump's shocking upset in defeating Hillary Clinton to become the next President of the United States, proud and happy Americans have been persecuted. Instead of being able to enjoy our victory, we've had to endure an unending barrage of hate and slander from a group bitter over the loss of their candidate. Instead of taking it on the chin, accepting the loss, and supporting the next President, liberals have been mounting one attack after another to denigrate and destroy our democracy.

I say enough is enough.

It all started on Election Night. Even though it was clear that Trump was winning state after state, every major news outlet waited until 2 AM to announce him as the winner- despite the fact that in elections prior, they called it for the winner far earlier. I remember 2008; they gave the election to Obama the moment California's early results came in. This year, they waited and waited. It was the first sign that our mainstream media- and the liberal powers that be- were trying to resist the inevitable.

They were hoping some surprising turn of events would invalidate the results that were pouring in. They refused to acknowledge Trump decidedly won states like Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Yes, I'll give them it was unexpected and remarkable that Trump turned blue states red, but they were deliberately delaying the call because they refused to acknowledge him as the winner.  You just have to read the headlines the following day to see their shock. CBS News called it a "stunner." Really? You never expected this would happen, despite the surge of support Trump enjoyed?

We had to endure so-called celebrities melting down on Twitter on Election Night. At least they were able to acknowledge Trump's victory early on, as evidenced by tweets like the one from Rashida Jones who said she wanted to "quit life."

Patton Oswalt was a little less subtle, calling the millions of Americans who voted for Trump sexists AND racists.  A double dose of hypocrisy!

This became the anthem of the left in the ensuing weeks: calling conservative Americans who supported Trump racist, sexist, and xenophobic. Xenophobic is the best one; most people who sling this word around don't even know what it means. A xenophobe is someone who is distrustful of people from other cultures/nations. So if you're worried that terrorists will sneak across the Mexican border to kill Americans, you're not a normal person afraid for your life- you're a xenophobe!

Because those rich elite celebrities who live in gated communities love strangers!

Despite both Hillary Clinton and President Obama acknowledging Trump's victory, splinter "progressive" groups were quick to organize protests over a free and open election. MoveOn.org even wrote this:

Hundreds of Americans, dozens of organizations to gather peacefully outside the White House and in cities and towns nationwide to take a continued stand against misogyny, racism, Islamophobia, and xenophobia.  (via Breitbart)

Ooo! They added a few new slurs! We're now misogynists for not voting for a woman. Plus Islamophobic, something that does not exist!

Since when does not wanting terrorists to shoot up our nightclubs and murder students on campus amount to hating and/or fearing an entire religion?

We had to watch as mostly paid protestors rioted in liberal cities over our democratic process.  Quickly a pathetic petition was drafted- signed by over 4 million bitter losers- to force the Electoral College to vote for Hillary Clinton instead of the lawful winner.

It didn't stop there. Jill Stein, a third party candidate that had only a snowball's chance in hell of winning, capitalized on the left's resentment to mount a recount in the key states Trump won.  We knew that wouldn't work, but had to put up with weeks of news coverage, making it seem like some miracle would prove Trump didn't win. Guess what, he did.

Knowing that they utterly lost the support of the American people, the media mounted their own campaign to discredit the election. They invented this concept of "fake news," i.e.: independent news sites that were doing the job of reporting facts the mainstream media refused to. A clear attempt at preventing emerging news sites from having an influence in the future. If they can silence us now with more slander, then perhaps people will only listen to the New York Times, Huffington Post, and CNN.

When 90% of the media you see is controlled by only six companies, you know we have a problem.

This isn't even the end. After a month of slurs, attacks, fake hate crime hoaxes, and other pathetic rebukes from the left over the loss of Hillary Clinton, we as Americans have to take a step back and ask why? Why are liberals so determined to resist Trump's victory? Had it been the other way around, would they be giving credence to conservative backlash?

I don't think so.

This attempt to resist Trump's win, or at the very least, discredit his supporters and the reasons why they voted, is an insult to our country, way of life, and democratic process. For over 200 years we've cast our ballots for the next President. There was always a loser. But earlier generations were able to suck it up and support the incoming leader.

It seems Democrats are willing to torch our track record of a peaceful transition of power (something no other nation can boast) just because they've lost. What does that say about their patriotism and support for our Constitution?

It's not even over yet. During the election, Hillary Clinton's team crafted a bogus lie about the source of her email leaks. Instead of confronting the many revelations about her and her people, they tried to distract from the facts by blaming Russia. Despite any evidence, they expected us to focus on this fantasy that Russia was working with Trump to overthrow the election. And the media went along with it.

It was the greatest attempt at Orwellian deception I've ever seen in my life. I mean, the media and liberals lie. A lot. But this had zero grounding in reality and clearly tried to distract from the litany of shocking revelations in her emails. Yet people went along with it.

Now that Trump's won, the New York Times tried to reignite this ridiculous assertion, claiming unnamed CIA agents told them it was so. Without a shred of proof, they continue to undermine Trump's clear and decisive victory.

We know they won't change anything. Trump is our next President. But the NYT and other outlets are hoping to sow seeds of discontent among bitter liberals and other voters, hoping they can sabotage Trump's time in office, perhaps preventing a second term.

How professional of them.

Last but not least we have a final, pathetic attempt to intimidate the Electoral College. I wrote about how "United for America" bamboozled Martin Sheen and other people into make a video coercing Republican electors not to vote for Trump. It is filled with some of the most insulting, dishonest rhetoric against the man and his millions of supporters I've ever seen. Even after his win, the left can't accept that America wanted Trump.

Hillary lost. It's over. Get over it.

The Electoral College, by the way, has made it very clear that they are supporting the winner of the election:

“Hell will freeze and we will be skating on the lava before I change,” said Republican Tom Lawless of Tennessee. “He won the state and I’ve pledged and gave my word that that’s what I would do. And I won’t break it.” (via Western Journalism)

This final attempt to undermine our election is more than just a case of sour grapes. It is a clarion call from the left that they no longer believe in the United States of America, its Constitution, or the will of the people. What else can you conclude? For years they've tried to circumvent the legal process to get their way. Going as far back as Roe v. Wade, they've tried to abuse the courts to overcome what Americans wanted.

That has continued to this day, with Obama's abuse of executive power, often ignoring the will of Congress.

It's clear liberals would rather have a dictatorship, where they're at the top, than a democracy.

Enough is enough. Come January 20, 2017, we will have a new President. His name will be Donald J. Trump. For the next four years, he will govern every American, whether you voted for him or not. Bitching, protesting, scheming, and outright lying will not change that, it will only embarrass our nation and make it harder to move forward.

The world is watching, America. We are a nation by the people and for the people. Those who supported Trump or have accepted his win will be able to flourish in this new administration. Those who don't are only proving themselves to be enemies of our great country and will soon be marginalized and ignored.

The time has come to grow up and do the right thing. Case closed.
