Fox News has cut ties with Fox Nation hosts Diamond & Silk, The Daily Beast reports.
Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway and Rochelle “Silk” Richardson, who frequently appeared on Fox News and even spoke at President Donald Trump’s rallies, were dropped from the network’s streaming platform Fox Nation after less than two years.
“After what they’ve said and tweeted you won’t be seeing them on Fox Nation or Fox News anytime soon,” a source familiar with the situation told The Daily Beast.
The platform had not uploaded any new episodes from the pair since April 7.
The pair also has not appeared on Fox News since March 7, when they spoke with former Fox Business host Trish Regan, who has also been let go.
Diamond and Silk made wild claims:
The departure comes after the pair made bizarre claims about the coronavirus.
“What I need to know is how many people have passed away in New York, and what I need to know is: Who has the bodies?” Diamond asked during a March 30 episode. “I need for somebody that does investigative work to call the morgues. To call the funeral homes. We need to know, because I don't trust anything else that comes out of his mouth now... Something's not right here. Something is off here.”
“Is this being deliberately spread? Look, I’m not being a conspiracy theorist, this is real, but I’m asking my own questions. What the hell is going on?" she questioned before her partner asserted that the disease may have been “engineered” and questioned whether there was a “little deep-state action going on behind the scenes.”
Twitter removed their covid claim:
Twitter removed a post earlier this month in which the duo appeared to urge people to expose themselves to the virus.
“The only way we can become immune to the environment; we must be out in the environment,” they tweeted. “Quarantining people inside of their houses for extended periods will make people sick!”
After the deleted tweet, the pair accused billionaire Bill Gates of being involved in vaccine development for the virus because he is pushing for “population control.”
“Kudos if you make your vaccines for people and you want to help people,” Diamond said. “But I have a problem receiving any vaccine from any entity, especially anybody like Bill Gates who pushed for population control. The same thing that Margaret Sanger pushed for.”
“Abortions! Genocide!” Silk shouted.
