Biden Issues Bizarre Reassurance That Military Will Remove Trump From White House if He Refuses to Leave

Former Vice President Joe Biden weirdly reassured voters that the military would escort President Donald Trump from the White House in an unprecedented scene if he refuses to leave after losing the election.

“This president is going to try to steal this election,” Biden said in an appearance on The Daily Show. “It’s my greatest concern. My single greatest concern… This is a guy who said that all mail-in ballots are fraudulent, voting by mail. While he sits behind the desk in the Oval Office and writes his mail-in ballot to vote in a primary.”

Biden said he has considered what would happen if Trump refuses to leave office.

“I’m promise you, I’m absolutely convinced they will escort him from the White House with great dispatch,” he said.

Biden stokes conspiracy theories:

Despite Biden and others discussing their conspiracy theory that Trump would refuse to leave office, there are no squatter’s rights at the White House.

Even if Trump refused to leave the White House, whatever that means, he would officially cease to be president on January 21, 2021.

Even if Trump tries to cancel the election, as Trump has suggested, he would not be able to continue to be president. In such an unlikely event, the presidency would go down the line of succession.

Biden reassurance bizarre:

“The phrase 'without evidence' has become common in reporting on Trump. It should certainly be applied to Biden's speculation that a defeated Trump would refuse to leave the White House and the military would then remove him,” wrote Washington Examiner reporter Byron York.

“What people don't seem to WANT to hear is, should Trump lose, Biden would be sworn in with or without 45 at the Capitol. 46 could then give an order remove Trump from WH,” wrote John Bennett, a reporter for The Independent.
