2 Killed, 1 Wounded in Shooting at Jacob Blake Protest in Kenosha

Two people were fatally shot and another was seriously wounded amid protests over the police shooting of Jacob Blake, The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.

Tuesday marked the third night of protesters after police shot Blake in the back seven times at point-blank range as he tried to get into a car with three of his young children. Witnesses said Blake had broken up a fight between two women before he was confronted by officers.

The protests have been marred by looting and violence. Numerous buildings and vehicles were set ablaze and vandalized.

Armed groups were seen protecting property around Kenosha on Tuesday.

2 killed:

Police say two people were killed and another person was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Sheriff David Beth said that authorities are looking for a man armed with a long gun.

"I feel very confident we'll have him in a very short time," he told the Journal-Sentinel.

Beth said he did not know whether the shooter was linked to the armed groups.

"They're a militia," he said. "They're like a vigilante group."

He added that he had been asked to deputize citizens to police the unrest.

"I've had people saying, 'Why don't you deputize citizens?'" he said. "This is why you don't deputize citizens with guns to protect Kenosha."

Video shows man running:

A widely shared video on Twitter showed a man with a rifle running from a group of protesters who accused him of shooting someone.

Seconds later, more shots appear to ring out after someone threw an object at the man with the gun.

Other videos showed graphic scenes of a protester that had been shot in the head.
