A Mother's 'This Is My Son' Tweet Goes Viral, Gets Mocked Relentlessly

When the mother of a U.S. Navy sailor decided to share her two cents about the #MeToo movement on Twitter Monday night, Twitter users everywhere did what they do best -- lit her up.

It's not hard to understand why. I mean, just look at this:

“This is MY son,” read the now-deleted tweet. “He graduated #1 in boot camp. He was awarded the USO award. He was #1 in A school. He is a gentleman who respects women. He won’t go on solo dates due to the current climate of false sexual accusations by radical feminists with an axe to grind. I VOTE. #HimToo.”

Shortly after the tweet blew up, a man claiming to be the woman's son named Jon Hanson took to Twitter to set a few things straight. Yes, his brother Pieter is in the Navy, but he is not in fact, afraid of radical feminists or going on solo dates.

Unsurprisingly, it doesn't appear as if  #HimToo is going to stick. But we'll always have the memes. The glorious, glorious memes.
