Newsweek Writer Angry Because People Find Muscles And Money Attractive

Why do people care so much about gender roles? And why does it creep into politics?

In a word: power. Progressives love to attack gender roles - because they need to. It helps them push social and political issues that would otherwise be dismissed.

To them, traditional gender roles are a problem. They blame the idea that men should be strong, confident leaders for things like sexism and oppression. Women who play the role of a supportive wife and homemaker are victims, or worse slaves! To progressives, that carries over to things like the workplace, government, the military, etc.

The preconceived gender roles we all share (hardwired through biology) are the cause of historical mistreatment of women., according to blue-haired, nose pierced, blob-like harpies.

Which means the most evil person in society is a strong, confident man. If he’s white, then he’s the devil. And if you look like this:

Trump White

Ooh boy, do they hate you.

This gives progressives an excuse to attack a huge portion of Western society (cis white men), while pandering to everyone else. Never mind the fact that men of all skin colors behave very similarly. Or the fact that the worst societies in the world for women have very few cisgender, straight, white, Christian men.

The attempt to redefine gender roles is a sneaky and ridiculous attempt to push political goals. And it’s a way for angry feminists to crap all over the thing that scares them the most: men being men and women being women.

But as it turns out, despite decades of feminist programming, women (and gay men) are still attracted to the prototypical male.

How backward of all of us.

Muscles and money are qualities that straight women and gay men typically find attractive in men, according to an analysis of Tube Crush—a website where people post unsolicited pictures of men seen on the London Underground…

The study at Coventry and Aberystwyth universities in the United Kingdom, published in Feminist Media Studies in August, analyzed images over a period of three years since 2014. The “guy candy” posted on the website were mostly white men—despite London being a multicultural city—indicating that white male privilege is still an attractive quality. (Via Newsweek)

That last sentence tells you everything about the brain-dead, politically poisoned, man-hating writer’s opinion. Apparently to liberals being multicultural is not about welcoming people and letting them live the way they want. It’s about erasing the influence of traditional Western culture (i.e., white men) from their cities.

And also, liking strong, athletic, wealthy white guys is a form of “white privilege.” No… it’s not. Women just like guys with their acts together. How many articles, TV shows, and advice columns have warned women to stay away from losers? How many women have been burned by selfish, lazy men who refuse to take care of themselves or hold down a job?

But when progressives learn that women are attracted to men that will treat them right, they pitch a fit. Or why else would Sydney title her article “Men With Muscles and Money Are More Attractive to Straight Women and Gay Men-Showing Gender Roles Aren't Progressing”?

Also telling is that in an article that hinges on photos, she does not show a single photo in question. So here’s one for the ladies:

Women's Photos of Men on the Subway

This is also why people are rejecting the mainstream media. According to Newsweek, Sydney Pereira “is a science writer focusing on the environment and climate.” Okay, so why is she weighing in on gender roles? The environment and climate are pretty large subjects (though I am sure her views are polluted with leftist talking points). Never, in the history of science, have gender roles played a part in rising tides.

Here’s another chestnut from the article:

The problem, according to Evans, is that “although it appears as though we have moved forward, our desires are still mostly about money and strength.” (Via Newsweek)

Oh no! Women want to date and marry men with money? What a terrible reality. I guess that women should marry deadbeats who sit on the couch all day, playing video games. Or do feminists want the 1950’s cliché, just in reverse? Do they want men wearing aprons, flittering around the house, dusting and cooking roasts? The woman comes home, sits in a recliner and drinks beer all night?

Wasn’t that the problem in the first place?

Here’s the reality. While it’s great that women have the opportunity to choose the life they want, there are things that will never change. A woman can pursue a career. They can climb the political ladder. They can achieve the same kind of success as any man. But at the end of the day, if she doesn’t have a strong, confident, kind-hearted man to go home to—she’s going to be miserable.

Doesn’t a woman deserve that kind of love and attention? Is becoming “the first female” whatever worth a life of loneliness?

Or do these feminists really hate men so much that they want us all to be beta-level, limp-wristed soy boys? They want all men to be wimpy, insecure, wishy-washy about their opinions? Do they want a solid century of men being punished for all the sins against women?

Perhaps that’s their ultimate goal. But real women, normal women, women who don’t hate men, don’t see it that way.

Here’s some more nonsense:

Through social media, once-private desires are being made public. Taking photos of men on the London Underground can also be seen as reversal of gender roles since men have historically been able to have more power over women’s bodies. (Via Newsweek)

Lol, really? Can’t you get your story straight? Either these posts reaffirm gender roles, or they don’t. Either the photos prove women like traditional strong men, or the posting of sexy men is proof that gender roles are changing. Which is it Newsweek?

And since when has liking attractive people and taking their pictures holding “power” over someone’s body? This is the kind of warped, twisted non-logic that makes intelligent people laugh at progressives. You know what really holding power over a woman looks like? Harvey Weinstein. And he’s a liberal!

To feminists and progressives, traditional gender roles are an existential crisis. It means their attempts to promote women by bashing men isn’t working. Women are still attracted to traditional kinds of men. That means they still fit those old roles. That’s not a bad thing, as long as women are treated with respect and have equal opportunity. But it’s never been about that. It’s about redefining our society so that progressives sit at the top.

But it looks like—at least in our lifetime—that will never happen.
