Las Vegas: Clinton Once Again Tries To Divide The Nation

Yesterday, election loser Hillary Clinton attempted to employ the horrific Las Vegas shooting as a tool to gain some political brownie points and attack the National Rifle Association (NRA). Her following tweets are highly problematic and as Fox News reports, the American people were not pleased:

The crowd fled at the sound of gunshots. Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get.

Our grief isn't enough. We can and must put politics aside, stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again.

The fact that Clinton thought it appropriate to promote her own political agenda and go after the NRA as Americans fight for their lives and loved ones is nothing short of deplorable. This poor judgment is a prime example of why she’s not President. This rhetoric does absolutely nothing to unify the nation, which is what America needs after the deadliest shooting in our nation’s history. However, this seemingly doesn’t matter to Clinton and many Democrats like her. They’ll go to any lengths to score political points, even when countless lives hang in the balance.

With each passing day, the true ugliness of liberals becomes more and more apparent. The NRA is not responsible for the atrocity in Las Vegas. The only people deserving of blame are 64-year-old  Stephen Paddock and any accomplices who helped him along the way. The NRA has absolutely nothing to do with the horrors committed on Sunday night. Guns are inanimate objects and incapable of killing, unless an individual picks it up, points it, and pulls the trigger. Guns don’t kill people; people kill people.

One of the most ironic aspects of Clinton’s tweets are her calls to “put politics aside,” yet immediately afterward, she says “stand up to the NRA.” Anyone who’s been in politics for five minutes knows that “standing up to the NRA” is an inherently pro left-wing position. Progressives have made their disregard and aversion to the Second Amendment more than apparent. They claim to be for the common man, yet doesn’t want the common man to have the ability to protect himself.

Another troublesome element of Clinton’s tweets is the implication that guns are to blame for the horrific shooting in Las Vegas. At this point, scapegoating guns should be expected. This is what Democrats do every time tragedy strikes. Their only solution is to seize all the guns and make it even more challenging than it already is for law-abiding citizens to have access to the means to defend themselves against psychopaths like Stephen Paddock.

As Clinton and her progressive allies and minions rally for gun control, they won’t shed any light on the fact that the weapon used by Paddock was already illegal and has been for quite some time. Why are the gun control advocates so reluctant to acknowledge this?

The truth of the matter is that gun control, in many ways, is similar to the push on banning abortions. Neither one of these reform measures will ever pass, or work, despite the misguided logic of the people who want them. If someone wants to secure a gun, they’re going to do so, even if they have to obtain it illegally via theft, the black market, etc. Similarly, if someone wants to get an abortion, they’re going to find a way, whether it’s by legally going to see a doctor or by throwing oneself down the stairs or using wire hangers. Unfortunately, some things in life cannot be banned no matter how uncomfortable or ugly they may be. Both guns and abortions fall into this category.

In the event of another tragedy striking in America, perhaps Hillary Clinton and other liberals would do well to simply avoid politicizing the matter. It does absolutely nothing to heal or help the nation and only engenders further division. Mass shootings or other atrocities committed against Americans should be the time for all people to come together and support one another. This ought to be the great equalizer which transcends politics.

The NRA is not to blame for what happened in Las Vegas. Trump supporters are not to blame for what happened in Las Vegas. Guns are not to blame for what happened in Las Vegas. The only person responsible for what happened in Las Vegas is Stephen Paddock. Going forward, it’s more important than ever to remain united and not allow the rhetoric from Hillary Clinton and others like her to divide us.
