Ho, Ho, Hoax? What's the Deal With all the Fake Hate Crimes?

Despite what the media might say, Donald Trump supporters (also known as half the population) are not hateful, racist, xenophobes.

Sure there might be a few scattered in there, just as many as are on the other side. We know that there are hateful, warped individuals in the world, but the vast majority of Americans are decent people who all want the same thing: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

But throughout the election and during the aftermath, we've been told that Trump supporters are racists that will stop at nothing to destroy anyone that isn't like them.

Yet since November 8, we've only seen strong opposition coming from anti-Trumpers. I've gone over, again and again, how the left have tried to undermine 200 years of democracy by staging suspicious protests, bullying the electorate, and creating fake news.

It's all a sad and pathetic response to Donald Trump's win. But perhaps the most shocking of all is the growing list of fake hate crimes sweeping the nation. We've been hearing about supposed Trump supporters, empowered by his victory, going around attacking minorities or Muslims. Yet we quickly learn they were faked by liberals.

It seems that the left expected far more crimes to be committed to prove their point, only to have to go out and commit these crimes themselves.

Before Thanksgiving, there were fifteen high profile hate crimes committed that were proved to be faked. This has led to arrests by police of young people for filing false police reports or committing other crimes related to wasting law enforcement’s time and resources.

Yes, kids, it is a crime to lie to cops. It's almost as bad as, say, pretending someone painted "Queer" on your house.

Here are just some of the fake things they did:

Police: Muslim Student ‘Fabricated’ Muslim Hijab-Grab by Trump Supporters

Students Face Disciplinary Action After Hoaxing ‘KKK’ Vandalism

Student Charged for Claiming Rock Attack by Trump Fans

Muslim Woman Admits Faking Knife Attack Hate Crime in New York City

Police: Gay YouTuber Faked Hate Crime Attack on Himself

Again, just recently, we learned about a young Muslim woman in New York who lied about being assaulted on the subway:

A Muslim woman who drummed up mainstream media hysteria claiming she was attacked on a New York City subway by President-Elect Donald Trump supporters is now under arrest for fabricating the hate crime and filing a false police report...

A source with the New York Daily News said Seweid stood by her story until NYPD continued to press her on the matter after finding no evidence that the attack occurred. Seweid admitted that she had fabricated the story, claiming she had family problems. (via Breitbart)

Now, I'm sure over the course of a regular month or year, there are plenty of fake police reports made in this country. Sometimes people get carried away, or have too much time on their hands, or just want attention.

I'm sure they're quick to regret it when they're the ones getting arrested.

But this rash of fake hate crimes geared toward making Donald Trump or his fans look bad seems to be a popular pastime among young, hateful liberals. They seem to think that trying to smear other Americans for voting red will send a message to the rest of the country. Does that make sense?

Perhaps they think to themselves, "We all know this is what they'd do if they had the chance, so I'll just do it for them!"

I'm not even done listing the recent hate crimes.

Police now say a false report was filed by a Muslim University of Michigan student, who told police several weeks ago that a man threatened to light her on fire if she did not remove her hijab as she walked down the street in Ann Arbor...

However, a review of surveillance video from businesses along William and State Streets, the area the woman said the assault took place, provided no evidence of a man matching the description she provided. Even more damning, no evidence was found that even she had been there that day. (via Breitbart)

Ouch. She wasn't counting on there being video proof that she was lying, I guess. You know, before you file a false police report and waste everyone's time, make sure there isn't an easy way to debunk your story, like SECURITY CAMERAS.

Then there's the news that the burning of a black church with the word "Vote Trump" painted on the side was done by an African American man. The evidence suggests he wasn't doing it out of some kind of loyalty to the Republican candidate, but mostly likely an attempt to slander the man.

Let's not forget Anti-Semitism:

A Nassau Community College student was arrested after allegedly drawing over 100 swastikas on campus since President-Elect Donald Trump’s election, along with anti-Semitic phrases and symbols...

Police told the media Saini used black permanent marker to draw the anti-Semitic messages, which Saini had done allegedly since October, increasingly after Trump’s victory. (via Breitbart)

Another case where the media wanted to connect a hate crime with Donald Trump supporters, when the opposite was true.

So what can we conclude from all these fake hate crimes, or hate crimes done that were needlessly attributed to Trump supporters? Does that mean there are no hateful, racist people that voted for Trump? Of course not. Does that mean we should ignore legitimate hate crimes when they occur? Also, of course not.

What it does mean is that with every fake hate crime, the public becomes more and more unwilling to believe the real thing happens. When an actual crime is committed against a minority, Muslim, Jew, or homosexual, people will begin to just ignore them outright or not believe it happened.

We all remember the Boy Who Cried Wolf, right? There was a reason your teachers read you that story, kids.

I understand there are people in this country upset over Trump's win. Obviously. But if you truly disagree with the man, or believe he will do things that aren't right for the country, filing fake police reports and lying won't solve the problem.

Should the day ever come when Trump violates our Constitutional rights (which I maintain never will), then we all have recourses to fight back. If his supporters actually begin to persecute, harass, and oppress other people, we can take a stand against them and use our law enforcement agencies to prosecute.

America isn't going away because the candidate you didn't like won. You still have your rights; you still live in a country that grants you unprecedented freedoms. Use them to make this a better nation.

And, for the love of God, STOP ALL THE FAKE CRIMES.
